No School.
The kids’ daycare was closed on Thursday and Friday after New Years, and it was my turn to stay home with them (Jay had month-end work to do). We had a fantastic day. We walked to the “park” and played baseball and football in the morning. We packed a little picnic lunch and drove the buggy to the community pool to swim and eat. That pool is great because it has a shallow end almost as big as our entire pool. Ty kept his life jacket on but had fun tooling around in it. Lily was asleep in her carrier so I got to swim with Ty. He gave me quite a workout – he kept throwing the balls in the deep end and making me go fetch.
We ate our lunch and then Ty started talking about wanting to take a 3 hour nap. I think the sun zapped all of his energy!
He watched some guys swim laps while I packed up our picnic and then we headed home. And he really did take a 3 hour nap! Lily fell asleep shortly after Ty, so I snuck in a few zzz z’s as well. Jay came home not long after they woke up. The boys both got hair cuts (Brian – Ty’s is terrible, you better come fix it), we ate a yummy dinner at the marina (or as Ty calls it “Ramina pepperoni peepa”), and got a kick out of the pirates that brought their parrots to dinner. Only in Australia….
We are going to pop in Tangled and relax the rest of the night. Good night, all!
