Home.
We arrived on time, in one piece, and puke free back “home” in Australia. On our drive home, Ty asked when we are going back to our old house. He said he really misses Bandit. Kind of made my heart cry a minute or two. I know how he is feeling. He doesn’t attempt to filter his emotions at all, though.

Goodbye 2013.
We dropped our stuff at home and hopped in the buggy to grab dinner at the marina. The place was really busy, lively crowd, most people dressed up to celebrate the new year in style. It felt like a mixture between Halloween and Mardi Gras. Live bands at a few of the restaurants. More psychedelic crazy flashing lights on houses, boats, and buggies. This place sometimes feels like a dream world…

I felt like a hot mess – looked like heck, sport in’ my baseball cap after traveling all day. Oh how things have changed in my life. No crazy parties for this chic! And I can guarantee I won’t be seeing the ball drop…

Hello 2014.
Yep, didn’t see the New Year in Australia, but for the first time in a long time I can say I was awake when midnight struck in Iowa.

Good Times.
We went to the Torrey’s for a pool party and dinner. Great way to start the new year. Ty had a blast swimming with the big kids, Jay and I had fun chatting with Brian and Mindy. Jay made Milo brownies from scratch – they were pretty tasty! So nice to have great people just a minute buggy ride away.
