We split our vacation into 2 – city and beach resort. We all enjoyed the city but the consensus is that we wish we had more time at the beach. The Atlantis on The Palm Jumeira is an awesome resort.

We were greeted by the Easter Bunny. This little mascot was HILARIOUS. His suit was inflatable, so he literally jumped on Ty and Jay. I was so bummed that despite thinking I had hit record video, I didn’t. But we got some great belly laughs.
Lily and Jay immediately put on their swimsuits and jumped in. They only had a little time before they closed the pool. Wah wah.
Ty and I opted to lounge instead of swim.
You can’t tell in the still photo, but the hotel has glittery flashing lights all over it at night. So pretty!
The kids didn’t want to go to dinner, so Jay and I snuck in a date night at Nobu. The menu was a little overwhelming so we trusted our sweet waiter, Joy, to bring us some of her favorites. We tried 8 different dishes and every single one was incredible. We maybe would have ordered 2-3 off the menu, but we were blown away with the dishes we wouldn’t have ordered.
View from our room. Dubai on one side.
It’s hazy but you can see the Burj Khalifa way off in the distance
You can see a bit of the ocean out this window.
Ty wanted to sleep in. I booked a massage. So Lily and Jay headed to the water park.
I decided to stop by the salon after my massage. My hair was feeling and looking like crap (really missing Brian!!!!). I was able to get right into a chair with Jad, who was an awesome hair stylist. My hair looks and feels so much better! Not sure how Jay is going to feel about me booking a return trip in 10 weeks for my next cut….
This blown glass sculpture in the middle of the lobby is so beautiful
Ty and I explored the nooks and crannies of the hotel. There is a giant aquarium – a perfect spot for a stingray photo bomb.
This hat was on a mannequin in a shop window. After spending over half my career in Treasury, most of that managing cash, (and being addicted to buying hats), I couldn’t walk away without this one. The sign in the background was perfect. I need a HUGe amount of money. 🙂
Another photo of the glass sculpture
Ty and I joined Jay and Lily on Wednesday morning at the water park. Hotel guests have early access, so Jay and Ty were able to quickly ride most of the water slides. This hotel holds the World Record for most water slides in a park. Lily and I opted for the crazy River – a lazy River but with rapids in different sections.
The kids were exhausted so while they napped, Jay and I took an Uber to the Dubai Marina. Lots of yachts. Great people watching.
The area was huge, and it was sooooo hot, so we rented scooters

Update on the tour from Hell. I confirmed that the tour guide gave himself 5 stars and wanted me to just add some comments and submit. That explains the 4.5 star review for the company. I have submitted my complaints and had the rating changed to 1 star. Unbelievable.

Our flight leaves early tomorrow morning, so it will be early to bed and early to rise. Taxi is booked for 5:00 am…. Ugh. Back to reality.

Goodbye Dubai! وداعا دبي
