Goodnight?
Friday night around 7:00 Riley got off the couch and went to the bathroom. He never returned. Jay described him as the typical college kid, sneaking off to pass out. I figured he didn’t intend to go to bed, but couldn’t resist the temptation when he saw his bed. Jet lag wins again.
Swim.
Saturday morning we went to swim lessons and found out that Ty’s coach is leaving, so he had a different coach. I think we went backwards about 4 weeks – she has a different approach and he was a bit confused, I think. He still did OK, but not nearly as good as he has in prior weeks.
Gymnastics.
Ty nailed the balance beam at gymnastics. Must be due to all of his practicing at home. 🙂
Boats.
The boys both had hair cuts at the marina. We all rode over together so that we could walk to Sanctuary Cove when they were done. Our neighborhood is right next to it, but the 2 neighborhoods have not worked out a way to allow buggies to go from one to the other. Kind of lame because it would be so easy. So we parked the buggy at the marina, put Lily in the stroller, and hoofed it over to sanctuary cove. I haven’t had that much exercise in a long time.
We walked through a big exhibitor tent and then headed out to take a look at the big boats. Unfortunately unless you were a potential buyer, they wouldn’t allow us on the really super big boats. But, we were still able to go on quite a few $1M + boats. There were some pretty amazing ones, but at the end of the day, I still like our boat the best. It suits us really well (and was a whole heck of a lot cheaper). Ty’s favorite boat was a giant police boat. Maybe someday he will be a police boat captain. That would be pretty cool.
Magic.
In the afternoon, they had a free magic show where Matt Hollywood did one pretty cool effect. I was standing next to one of his assistants and she said that there was a show that night and there were still plenty of tickets left. We have been wanting to see a show for quite a while but every time we try to go , they are sold out. Apparently most people thought that the boat show would interfere, which it didn’t, so we were able to go Saturday night. What a great way to end Ty’s 3rd year. He was pretty amazed at all of the tricks. He found one of the playing cards from the show on the ground and got Matt to autograph it. While we were waiting in line to get the autograph, Ty was turning the card back and forth – I think he was practicing magic. Then when we got home, he got out a sharpie and was autographing some random pieces of paper. :). Happy last data of being a 3 year old!!
