Words.
Fall pregnant = get pregnant. Not sure where the “falling” part comes from. I guess you fall in love. And often times getting pregnant is what happens next, so I guess it sort of makes sense? Hmm.
Baddies = the bad guys.
Chips.
One would never walk into a Subway in the US and not have a plethora of chips to choose from. However, a Subway employee in Australia looks at you like you are from Mars if you ask for a bag of chips to go with your sandwich. A sandwich just isn’t the same without that salty yummy goodness accompanying it…
Emmy.
Today’s mail had 2 fantastically fun envelopes. Baby Emmy sent the most adorable baby announcement (ok, they are all adorable, but really, hers is super cute). And then Emmy’s mom sent a separate thank you note (Terra, you totally could have combined them to save on postage but we feel really special that you sent them separate). Have I mentioned how much I love getting real mail? I can always count on Emmy’s mom to write updates on Facebook in the middle of my day (middle of her night). One might think that I sent a prenatal message to little miss Emma to tell her to make sure she wakes up at all hours of the night so that when we move down under her mom can keep me company. But I swear I didn’t… Really.
And speaking of babies keeping moms up, I think that Courtney needs to get a smart phone and check her Facebook a little more often. Just saying…
Riley!!!!
Jay picked up Riley at the airport at 5:00 AM on Friday morning!!! Jay took the day off and showed him around. They went to Surfers Paradise to walk on the beach, and took the boat over to Tipplers for lunch. They saw dolphins – came right up next to the boat. Riley slept for 12 of the 14 hour flight so he seems to be doing pretty well with the jet lag. We have a fun month ahead of us!! Jay booked our flights to the Great Barrier Reef in a couple weeks. I can’t wait for that!

Riley arrived with a suitcase full of goodies. Birthday presents for Ty, sweatpants (it is pretty much freezing here you know), shirts for Jay, the most adorable swimsuit/hat/cover up for Lily, and a whole pile of loot from Berkshire Hathaway. Thanks Memaw and Papa!!
Snail.
Check out the giant snail that was creeping along our patio. “I can’t be late for my first day of school!”
Adorable.
This is the cuteness that is Lily. This amount of adorableness is banned in most countries.
Chair.
Have I mentioned that I got a new chair this week? And weird, my back coincidentally has felt great ever since. Thank goodness I have some relief!! I am hoping it stays this way for a while. I have zero time for another bed-ridden week.
More to come throughout the weekends adventures!!
