10 Months!
Lily is 10 months old now. She is a busy little thing, always on the go. She wants to be wherever her brother is, or in the pantry. This little Chica likes to eat. She will take down anything within reach…unfortunately not always food items. She rarely complains about anything, only exceptions are when she runs out of food or is getting a new tooth. She still likes to eat puréed veggies, but has started eating fruit pieces, chicken, ham, pancakes (she loves pancakes), Mac and cheese. Pretty much anything. She says a few words: dada, mumma, Ty, baba, and mwump (kissing noise). She waves, blows kisses, “walks” along the furniture. Always so happy. It’s been a wonderful 10 months – can’t remember what life was like before Lily.

Sports.
Saturday morning Ty had swimming and gymnastics. They tried to swim the long way again. Ty is so close. He needs to keep his face looking at the ground and keep his legs up towards the top of the water, but he is really doing well. Just needs more practice.
After swimming we went to gymnastics. More fun times were had in the gym.
Jay and the kids went and picked up our giant shipment of Pampers diapers (we got a little excited when we saw that Groupon come through). 750 diapers later, and I don’t think we will have to buy more in Australia. :).
I had a hair appointment. The rest of Saturday was spent tooling around on the buggy and doing some chores.

Gym.
Jay has been thinking about joining a gym since we moved here but the hours of the one nearby weren’t convenient. The gym within our neighborhood (5 minute buggy ride) just changed its hours to 24/7. They have a lot of nice equipment, including a combat course. Jay went ahead and got signed up, and went over there after me and the kids went to bed Saturday night. It gives him something to do after his lame wife falls asleep at 8:30.

Snowy River.
Saturday night we watched The Man From Snowy River. Still one of the best movies of all time. It was fun to see Ty taking it all in. Of course his favorite scene was the brawl in the bunkhouse. “Whoa! That was awesome!” Such a boy… As long as he only watches fights on TV and never gets into one…

Teeth.
Lily is getting 2 new teeth – the top ones that have been threatening to arrive for the past 7 months are now here. Unfortunately they come with a runny nose and a sleepless couple of nights. How many more to go???

Snails.
Nana’s and Memaw’s…you should probably skip this next section…

There were 2 large snails on our patio Sunday morning. They appeared to be “stuck” together, so one can imagine what they were up to. (Google image mating snails for a visual – confirms our suspicions). So anyway, kind of a random start to the morning. We were rushing around to get things ready for the day. Jay was hauling a load of stuff down to the boat, and I was finishing getting ready upstairs. Ty and Lily were playing downstairs. A thought crossed my mind…”if Lily gets out on the patio, she will go straight to those snails.” So I go downstairs, and see that Ty had gone outside and left the patio door open. And Lily had followed him… It was like I was in slow motion. I saw her, saw what she had in her hands, and that her hands were in her mouth (ewwwwww!!!!!) and shouted “Noooooooooo!!!!!” I ran outside, pulled the mating snails out of her mouth, threw them on the ground, and had to fight to control the vomit that was attempting to come into my mouth. Jay, in his usual calm manner, realized what had happened, and looked at me from the boat. “You know that is a delicacy in some countries.”

Picnic.
A bunch of people from work were getting together at a park down the coast on Sunday morning. We thought it would be fun to take the boat down there. We headed out and about 20 minutes in, the clouds that were threatening to ruin our trip opened up. Ugh. Third time we have been out in the boat in the rain. Thankfully it didn’t last long. Aside from being a little chilly, we had a nice time at the picnic. Ty had a blast playing with the other kids. He had taken a 20 minute nap on the way to the park, and slept most of the way home. Lily also slept the whole way home. It was a peaceful little afternoon. Hoping for a restful Sunday night before the work week kicks back in.

Riley.
Jay’s nephew, Riley, flies in on Friday morning! Yay!! We are all pretty excited to have another visitor. :).
