TGIF.
I have been feeling a little emotional the past few days, in a bit of a funk. Work has been stressful since Christmas break. I am feeling a little homesick. Ty has been talking about missing Bandit. I think Sherry’s visit in a few weeks will do us all some good. I can’t wait for a hug! In the meantime, I am just thankful it is the weekend!
6 Month Checkup.
Lily had her 6 month checkup on Friday. She tips the scales at just over 18 pounds and is 25.5 inches long. She is doing all of the things that a 6 month old should be able to do, so she is developing nicely. We have held out on solid foods (except for a couple tastes of ice cream and Vegemite), but we are going to give it a go this weekend. We picked up some rice cereal and I am going to mush up some carrots, squash, zucchini, and sweet potato. Enter super stinky diapers…..
She had to get a few vaccinations, which she took like a rock star and barely cried. I am expecting her to be extra cuddly tonight, which is just fine with me.
We saw the same doctor that checked out Ty when he was sick before Christmas. She is great – very competent, confident, great with the kids. She is moving to another clinic down the road but we will continue to see her for regular appointments. It was a much better experience than the 4 month appointment. Yay!
Australia Day.
There are heaps of Australia Day items sprinkled throughout the stores. Anything they can stick the Australian flag onto, they do. Today I couldn’t resist the temptation and picked up an Australian flags water bottle and an inflatable thong (going to leave you hanging on that one – pictures later).
Seapen.
A guy from the Seapen factory went and checked out the Seapen Jay bought to figure out what repairs/maintenance needs to be done on it before installation. He told Jay that we got the deal of the century. He said it just needs a good cleaning and they will check to see if it needs a new pump (it shouldn’t because the prior owner said he just had it replaced). So Jay scored a great deal again! Yay!!
Weekend Plans.
Saturday morning we have swim lessons and then we are going to pick up the paperwork for the boat. I have a hair appointment. Then we might try to go to church again. Ty has been wanting to go and we haven’t been around on the weekend since the Christmas puking episode. Sunday is beach day. Should be nice and relaxing!
