Master Negotiator.
Jay wins an award for Master Negotiator today. He somehow managed to work a deal on the boat that was pretty darn good. We are only going to have to pay for some of the normal wear and tear type items, and the current owner is paying for the hefty items. After the repairs are done, the boat shouldn’t (although it’s a boat so I am not holding my breath) need major work done while we own it for the next couple of years. And, hopefully these repairs will put us in a good spot when we go to sell when we move back home. Time will tell, but it is feeling good now. We have both signed the paperwork. Next step is to get the money wired. Then the mechanics will get to work on her and I am hoping to have her tied to our pontoon (dock) by Australia Day (Jan 26). Might be a stretch, though. Great job Jay!!

Fast Forward.
So that last paragraph was written a couple days ago and nothing blog worthy has happened in the meantime, so fast forward to today. WE BOUGHT A BOAT!!! The money has been wired. Picking up the paperwork on Saturday. The mechanic has been given the green light to start repair work. The Seapen guy has been told to move forward with getting the Seapen ready and installed. It will be awesome when we can actually go out on our first boat ride!

Mail.
More mail from the states arrived today! Yay for real mail! Today’s shout out goes to the Ott family. Thank you! Ty loves getting the mail, ripping open envelopes, and looking at pictures. 🙂

Wings.
Check out the size of the chicken wings Jay had for lunch this week. Flavor was great, but it really could have used some more meat…

Qantas sale.
Did y’all see that Qantas is having a sale on premium economy seats from Dallas to Brisbane? Did you also hear that it is hot in Australia now? I heard that it is freezing in the Midwest. Who is booking their flights today?!?!

Parting Shot.
Lily looked pretty cute today. Had to share.
