Shopping.
Sunday morning after brekky and some cleaning/laundry, we drove over to the Sanctuary Cove marina, just a few minutes from our marina. They have a great shopping/dining area – lots of boutiques. I found a great store with lots of cute clothes at not too terrible prices! Yay!! The store is called Ily (like Lily without the L), and I left with 2 dresses. I could have bought more if I didn’t have the kids with me. Ty became best mates with a random husband sitting on the couch, but his patience quickly faded, so I had to cut my shopping short. I will go back sometime with just Lily and try again. There is an adorable children’s store called Sparrow – found outfits for both kids for the daycare Christmas concert on Friday. Sherry will love that shopping area (is it February yet??)
Boats.
After lunch the kids fell asleep in the car so we drove to a marina down the road that had a boat auction earlier this morning (wish we had known that sooner), and unfortunately all of the boats were gone. Nuts!
Christmas.
We stopped by the baby store on our way home to buy a baby gate (won’t be long before Lily rolls over to the stairs) and since the kids were still sleeping I snuck in some quick Christmas shopping. I picked up some stuff for Lily – jumpy gym thing, shape ball, and a follow-me puppy thing for crawling.
Swim.
When we got home, Ty and I put on our swimsuits and played in the hot tub (big pool too cold if the sun isn’t on it in the afternoon). He put on his new goggles and suddenly had no fear. He had his life jacket on but was doggy paddling from one side to the other, then putting his face in the water, then jumping from the step into the middle and completely submerging his head. So awesome. Jay posted a video on Facebook. I had to come inside to feed Lily but it has now been another hour and the boys are still swimming. Ty is so lucky to have a pool. We will probably have to get a pool when we move back to Iowa… 🙂
The rest of the evening will be filled with grocery shopping, packing lunches, cooking dinner, normal boring stuff before the work week starts again. Have a great week mates!
