Shopping.
We went “fun” shopping on Sunday at the Harbour Town outlets. It was a beautiful day for a visit to an outdoor mall. I was excited to find a store equivalent to White House Black Market back home. After about 4 hours of shopping (including lunch), we walked away with 2 pairs of shorts and 2 shirts for Jay ($300), and a box of new silverware (our rental silverware was pretty crappy). No new clothes for me. The only thing I saw that I sort of liked was from Hugo Boss and had a price tag of $660. They were having a 50% off sale. Um….no thanks. There weren’t any stores that catered to young professionals (not that I am still young, but you know what I mean). So, the search continues. If anyone knows anyone at WHBM corporate, tell them they are missing a huge market and should probably open a store on the Gold Coast ASAP. On the bright side, I had a delicious lunch (finally!!!!) at a sidewalk cafe in the mall. 🙂

Pontoons.
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas on the canal. The neighbors have begun to decorate their pontoons (docks) with an assortment of very colorful, very flashy lights that will likely induce at least one seizure this holiday season. Other than the medical consequences, it is quite festive around here, and fun to see.

Boats.
I have (slowly) come to the conclusion that since we live on a canal that goes out to the ocean, we probably “need” to have a boat. I know Jay has made this decision months ago, but I am just now starting to get on board with the idea. This will give my motor head husband something to think about and tinker with. To be continued…
